As a part of our goal to equip youth, we offer discipleship classes to help students grow in their knowledge about the Bible, faith and their relationship with Christ. There are 5 classes in total: Class 101, 201, 301, 401 and 501. Each class has a specific focus and targets a different aspect of your relationship with Jesus!
Monday night discipleship classes start on January 16. This semester we will be offering 101, 201, and 301. There will be a devotional time from 6-6:45, snack and then class from 7-8 pm.
Class 101 – Building your Foundation
Class 101 is the first class of our Discipleship program. It focuses on the foundations of the Christian faith and the core values we have at Living Springs Church and within the Living Springs Youth group.
This class runs on Monday evenings for ten weeks. It is offered twice a year, starting in September and then again in January. Students are welcome to join at any time in the classes, however, we do require students to complete 7 of the 10 classes in order to move on to Class 201. If students miss more than 3 classes, they can simply make up for the classes they missed in the following semester.
Class 201 – Finding Freedom
Class 201 is the second class of our Discipleship program. Class 201 focuses on working through some of the bondages we carry in order to step into the FREEDOM we can receive in our relationship with Christ!
This class has two components. There will first be 5 classes that will be weekly on Monday nights. After those 5 classes, each student will be paired with a trained prayer partner at LSC to pray with them through the steps discussed in the class. The time and dates of the prayer sessions will be up to the student and the prayer partner to discuss.
This class is offered twice a year, at the start of September and at the start of January. Students are welcome to join at any time in the classes, however, we do require students to attend 4 of the 5 class sessions and all 5 sessions with the prayer partner in order to move on to Class 301. If students miss more than 1 class, they can simply make up for the classes they missed in the following semester.
Class 301 – Developing Spiritual Maturity
Class 301 is all about developing spiritual maturity. Students will go in depth through the 9 spiritual gifts as well as four spiritual habits that are essential for every believer. They will also talk about discovering their gifts, creating a personal mission statement and being called to minister in the body of Christ.
The class runs on Monday evenings for ten weeks. It is offered twice a year, starting in September and then again in January. Students who have completed 101 and 201 are encouraged to join this class! In order to move on to 401, students must complete 7 of the 10 classes. If students miss more than 3 classes, they can simply make up for the classes they missed in the next semester.
